Privacy policy

Last updated 22 October 2026

The short version

Your trades, notes and screenshots never leave your device. KongTrades has no account system and no server that stores your journal. We can't see your trading data, and we can't lose it in a breach, because we never have it. The only things that go online are your payment (handled by our payment partner) and a small licence check.

Who we are

KongTrades is made by Taksh Parmar, Surat, Gujarat, India ("we"). Contact: takshparmar2004@gmail.com.

Data that stays on your device

Everything you enter or import into the app (trades, accounts, settings, notes, screenshots and your licence key) is stored in your browser's storage on your own device. It is not sent to us or anyone else. You control it fully: back it up, restore it, or erase it from Settings.

Payments

Plans paid in US dollars: Paddle is the merchant of record. They process your payment and collect the details they need (such as your name, email address, country and payment method) under their own privacy policy. Plans paid in Indian rupees: we sell to you directly, and Razorpay Software Private Limited processes the payment and the AutoPay mandate under its own privacy policy. In both cases we receive your email address (and phone number for rupee payments), country and subscription status so that we can provide your licence and support. We never receive your full card, UPI or bank details.

Licence checks

If you subscribe, the app contacts our licence server about once a week (more often just before a renewal date), and when you tap "Check now", "Manage or cancel" or "Stop renewing". It sends only your licence key, which contains your name, plan, renewal date and subscription number. The server asks Paddle or Razorpay whether the subscription is active and returns an updated key. We don't log or store these requests beyond standard technical logs kept by our hosting provider for security.

Prices for your country

To show prices in rupees in India and in US dollars elsewhere, the website and the app ask our server which country your internet connection comes from. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) works this out from your IP address; we don't store it. The app remembers only the answer ("rupees" or "dollars") on your device.

The website

This website uses no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. When you open checkout, the checkout of Paddle (US dollars) or Razorpay (rupees) loads on the page and may use its own cookies to process the payment. Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and time) for security and reliability.

How long we keep data

We keep subscription and purchase records for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting, then delete them. We never sell or rent your data, and we don't use it for advertising.

International transfers

Our payment partner and hosting providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United Kingdom, the European Union, the United States and India, with the safeguards those laws require.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the EU and UK GDPR, India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, or US state privacy laws), you can ask what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to its use, or complain to your data protection authority. Write to takshparmar2004@gmail.com and we'll reply within 30 days (within 7 days for requests from India). Trading data in the app is already under your control and never reaches us.

Children

KongTrades is intended for adults (18+) who trade.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and announce important changes on this website.
